The Main Stage

SATURDAY

12.30pm – 1.30 – Gateway College, Music Showcase

Gateway College, Music performance BTEC students present a live music showcase of Rock and Pop.

2.pm – 2.45pm – Grace & The Magic Roots

The perfect band for a summer afternoon. Their distinctive blend of reggae folk and acoustic dub will enchant and entertain . Performing songs from their new studio album ‘Magic Root Tree’ .which will be released summer 2013.

3.15pm – 4pm – Pamella Moo Band

Leicester based soul and pop singer Pamella Moo has been on the scene for a while, notably singing with last year’s Riverside headliners Out Of Karma.

Pamella recently won a song competition run by the legendary Ray Davis from The Kinks and recieved the prize of meeting Ray and a day’s recording at his Konk studios.

4.30pm – 5.30pm – OBS Winners

And the winner is Leaving Party

From March to May and featuring 40 bands the 2013 Original Band Showcase finally has a winner and they are playing on the main stage at Riverside.

6pm – 7pm – Kenworthy 

‘Kenworthy are an impressive trio from Leicester who formed in 2011 and have become one of Leicester’s most exciting young bands. Signed to Flat Five Records, the band have progressed at a quick pace and have most recently been in David Gray’s Church Studios with producer Richard Wilkinson who has previously worked with Adele, Amy Winehouse and Bombay Bicycle Club. Their debut EP, Doors received critical acclaim gaining the band interest from many major labels and industry figures which they hope to build upon with their new recordings. Turning heads everywhere they go with stunning live performances and catchy pop tunes the band are building a strong following with a very promising future ahead of them.’

Leicester based Brass Ensemble play a varied and surprising repertoire of popular tunes. Perfect for a Sunday afternoon on the park.

2-3pm – Sing For Water

Annual charity performance for Water Aid featuring choirs and singers from around Leicester

3.30 – 4.30pm – Outwoods County Riders

Building a deserved reputation in and around Leicester as a great live band with a

wicked take on Americana roots music. Drawing heavily on left field artists such as

R L Burnside and other Mississippee greats such as John Lee Hooker. OCR play greasy swamp boogie that with get you out there.
