City Link-Up Show,\u00a030th May at Sumo<\/h1>\n

Following on from the launch of the City-Link Up’s shows, held at Mobius on Thursday 25th April, tonight saw the second show. Held at Sumo, the show attracted a fair-sized crowd for the line-up of artists.<\/p>\n

\"tanni<\/a>
Leicester reggae singer Tanni Browne<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Tanni Browne<\/strong> gave us an enjoyable set of reggae songs that featured some of Bob Marley’s best loved numbers. This was Tanni’s second appearance at these shows and his fine voice and very attractive songs provided a welcome warm-up on both occasions.<\/p>\n

Singer Kezia<\/strong>, from Derby, used her amazing voice and consummate skills as a song writer to wow the room with a set that found real resonance with the audience. A brilliant vocalist, we loved her songs as much as her performance of them. Quite amazing; we hope to see her again here in Leicester.<\/p>\n

From Leicester, Jeth Infinite<\/strong> delivered a set of enjoyable hip-hop and \u00a0r ‘n b songs.<\/p>\n

The Leicester singer who performs under the stage name Ten<\/strong> is making waves both locally and nationally. Tonight, the singer\/songwriter put on a super performance. Ten recently supported Alexander O’Neill and Tiger.\u00a0Ten’s vibrant r ‘n b songs were received with enthusiasm by the audience.<\/p>\n

Local singer Jessie Wright<\/strong> took to the stage to deliver a set of her songs and some covers. A well known artist on the local live circuit, Jessie is a solid performer whose set of delightful numbers always goes down well.<\/p>\n

Four lads, going by the stage name Boo<\/strong>, delivered a fun set with some likeable rap songs.<\/p>\n

Electronic dance band One Bomb<\/strong> featured a female vocalist and guys playing the decks to produce a set of infectious rhythms. They reminded me of the Leicester group Tribal Riot (I am a big fan) so my ears were firmly glued to the stage. Altogether a pleasing set of electro music with some well impressive work being done on the decks.\u00a0They are playing at the Strawberry Fields Festival later this year.<\/p>\n

Leicester band Echo Marley<\/strong> brought some of their very agreeable songs to the stage.<\/p>\n

Calvin Jeffrey<\/strong>, Leicester’s singer and songwriter, ended the show with a selection of songs.<\/p>\n
