SATURDAY<\/h3>\n

12.30pm – 1.30 – Gateway College, Music Showcase<\/b><\/p>\n

Gateway College, Music performance BTEC students present a live music showcase of Rock and Pop.<\/p>\n

2.pm \u2013 2.45pm – Grace & The Magic Roots<\/b><\/p>\n

The perfect band for a summer afternoon. Their distinctive blend of reggae folk and acoustic dub will enchant and entertain . Performing songs from their new studio album \u2018Magic Root Tree\u2019 .which will be released summer 2013.<\/p>\n

3.15pm – 4pm –\u00a0<\/b>Pamella Moo Band<\/b><\/p>\n

Leicester based soul and pop singer Pamella Moo has been on the scene for a while, notably singing with last year\u2019s Riverside headliners Out Of Karma.<\/p>\n

Pamella recently won a song competition run by the legendary Ray Davis from The Kinks and recieved the prize of meeting Ray and a day\u2019s recording at his Konk studios.<\/p>\n

4.30pm \u2013 5.30pm – OBS Winners<\/b><\/p>\n

And the winner is\u00a0Leaving Party<\/strong><\/p>\n

From March to May and featuring 40 bands the 2013 Original Band Showcase finally has a winner and they are playing on the main stage at Riverside.<\/p>\n

6pm \u2013 7pm \u2013 Kenworthy\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

‘Kenworthy are an impressive trio from Leicester who formed in 2011 and have become one of Leicester’s most exciting\u00a0young\u00a0bands. Signed to Flat Five Records, the band have progressed at a quick pace and have most recently been in David Gray’s Church Studios with producer Richard Wilkinson who has previously worked with Adele, Amy Winehouse and Bombay Bicycle Club. Their debut EP, Doors received critical acclaim gaining the band interest from many major labels and industry figures which they hope to build upon with their new recordings. Turning heads everywhere they go with stunning live performances and catchy pop tunes the band are building a strong following with a very promising future ahead of them.’<\/em><\/p>\n

Annual charity performance for Water Aid featuring choirs and singers from around Leicester<\/p>\n

3.30 \u2013 4.30pm \u2013 Outwoods County Riders<\/h3>\n

Building a deserved reputation in and around Leicester as a great live band with a<\/p>\n

wicked take on Americana roots music. Drawing heavily on left field artists such as<\/p>\n

R L Burnside and other Mississippee greats such as John Lee Hooker. OCR play greasy swamp boogie that with get you out there.<\/p>\n
