Midlands singer heads for US tour<\/h2>\n

On 1st March, \u00a0Guy Jones<\/strong> will be touring with Nashville singer\/songwriter Mike Mentz and New York based singer\/songwriter Emily Forst. Cities they will be \u00a0hitting include:\u00a0New York, Philadelphia, Washington DC, Pittsburgh, Columbus, Cleveland, Indianapolis, Chicago, St.Louis, Milwaukee, Madison, Kansas, Denver, Salt Lake City, LA, Sacramento, San Francisco, Portland and Seattle. Overall they will \u00a0have over 30 dates on the tour.<\/p>\n

The US tour will be followed by\u00a0a UK tour after playing festivals in the summer.\u00a0When Guy is back in June, \u00a0he will be touring with Emily Forst here in the UK.<\/p>\n

Guy Jones performed in Leicester at the Musician on 4th January 2014. \u00a0There is a video of one of his songs on YouTube<\/a>. \u00a0Philip Vernon was there to photograph the set and you can see pictures on Philip Vernon’s Facebook page<\/a>.<\/p>\n

All this touring is in promotion of Guy’s debut EP \u00a0Sunday morning light –\u00a0<\/em>mastered by Christian Wright (who has worked with Ed Sheeran, Coldplay, Blur and Keane to name a few.)<\/p>\n

Guy Jones will be recording a new acoustic EP in New York, due for \u00a0release towards the end of summer.<\/p>\n

Singer and songwriter Alex Van Roose performing at The Shed<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Songwriter, singer and band front man Alex Van Roose made a rare solo appearance at The Shed tonight. Singing some of his own songs and the odd cover for good measure, Alex’s set was delightful, demonstrating that we is one of the best songwriters in Leicester and a fine singer. \u00a0His band, Midnight Wire, has a album which will be launched soon.<\/p>\n
