It had to be Glastonbudget, one of the UK\u2019s biggest tribute festivals, featuring both impersonators and actual local bands.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Paul J Roberts<\/strong> was the one to open up Loco Stage, with acoustically performed original songs about tiring shining sun, irritating online dating and being somebody\u2019s man, that got mixed up with covers. Paul\u2019s silly blues\/pop had some charm to it. Not threatening yet so pleasant to listen to. The second you feel comfortable enough to know what to expect, you\u2019re on a highway in the opposite direction. Bless them for that. Yet, thrashy doesn\u2019t mean sloppy.<\/p>\n<p>Satisfyingly well-timed squeaking solos, bang on drums and Lewis Rowland\u2019s absolutely astonishing vocals (and screams) makes them professional hellraisers who set things straight. Though covers of Arctic Monkeys, The Smiths and Nirvana were more than fine, Easy Life <em>Slow Motion<\/em> along with originals deserved an extra round of applause. And that\u2019s all you should expect from a Phil Collins tribute band. Among other classics, we got to experience In <em>The Air Tonight<\/em> and <em>Another Day in Paradise<\/em> that imitated the originals extraordinarily well. Still, with your eyes closed, the set was masterfully mirroring <strong>AC\/DC<\/strong>\u2019s music. Full of sleek, sick solos played really skilfully, vocal on point and drums on the way to explode.<\/p>\n<p>They smashed it to pieces with, obviously, <em>Highway To Hell<\/em> and, preceded by a shout-out to the pretty ladies, <em>You Shook Me All Night Long<\/em>. Especially the single, <em>Saviour<\/em>, from their soon to be released album, being a quite simple, very whole, composition with hypnotic vocals had a simultaneously similar and unique vibe to it.<\/p>\n<p>It was made to move and it did. \u2018I\u2019m stuck here with you\u2019 went one of the lyrics. They reinterpreted well-known (cheesy) classics with a gyp pop funky twist that made it a truly unique and entertaining set.
