That style is powerful, passionate and technically impressive.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><strong>The Furies<\/strong>, from Leicester, is a band that we have reviewed many times before. As a band they deliver very good music. Despite a long journey across England, Massive Wagons delivered an exciting sets of songs, rich in supercharged sounds and roaring rhythms which reminded us of the great metal bands of the 80s like AC\/DC and Motorhead.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/youtu.be\/wjUk5-Ydynw\" target=\"_blank\">\u00a0<span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">Watch Massive Wagons on YouTube<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">Massive<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">One Leicester band that is outstanding for their practice of the art of classic sounding rock, is <strong>Skam<\/strong>. As a band they one of the finest groups playing this style of music anywhere in the East Midlands, if not beyond. They have played well 250 gigs and festivals and have appeared in almost very major city in the country, alongside also having full-time jobs! Now that&#8217;s dedication.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">Flashback: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.artsinleicestershire.co.uk\/music\/musicdiary_march.htm#skamato2\" target=\"_blank\">Skam at the Queens Hall in March 2013<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">It is not only the emotional impact of what they do that makes this band stand out but also their technical brilliance. The vocal power and guitar playing of Steve Hill is the stuff of legend. The performance of bassist Matt Gilmore is outstanding among bass guitarists in Leicester. The drumming of Ray Peverill is exceptional. This is a highly talented trio of musical artists. A band (or at leas its musicians) that remains one of the longest standing in Leicestershire, Skam has a remarkably good track record as a band, consistently putting on live music and gigs and benefiting from a supportive fan base, constantly attracting new followers, they are band that has, for well over six ears, done better than most and they are still going strong. There are a lot of things to like about Skam \u2013 all three members contribute to the vocals, backing Steve Hill&#8217;s amazing talents as a rock singer and what you get from them is fire and energy &#8211; from the whole band &#8211; music that electrifies a room with megawatts of power, ear-lickingly good melodic lines, scintillating guitar solos and they have created new songs consistently for many years.
