\nAT STAYFREE MUSIC\u2019S
\nOPEN DAY<\/h2>\n

If you\u2019ve ever fancied having a singing lesson, playing the drums or being in a band, you can
\nhave a go for free this Sunday at Stayfree Music\u2019s Open Day.<\/p>\n

The huge building on Frog Island, Leicester is home to more than 20 band rehearsal rooms,
\nas well as hosting music tuition and recording studios. This Sunday 22nd May, you can tour
\nthe building, see bands in action, join in a drumming workshop and find out what\u2019s on offer
\nfor children and adult beginners, as well as those who already play in bands.<\/p>\n

Singing teacher Kay is offering free group taster sessions, and studio producer Bhav will
\nshow how a song is created. Other free bookable sessions for adults and children include
\ndrumkit, bass and electric guitar lessons. And rocking out isn\u2019t just a male hobby. Since
\nJanuary, five new all-women bands have formed in Leicester; a workshop at the event will
\nshow how easy it is to get started creating your own original music.<\/p>\n

For the day, the Lock 42 canalside yard will be turned into a buzzing outdoor venue with
\ncake from nearby Bitzy\u2019s Emporium, drinks, musicians\u2019 market stalls and an open mic
\nsession.<\/p>\n

This huge free open day event is likely to be very popular, so anyone wishing to have a stall,
\nor try a free workshop or lesson should book as soon as possible. For more information,
