Leicester’s music venue The Charlotte<\/h1>\n

Tuesday 17th December 2013\u00a0\u220f<\/p>\n

Leicester’s legendary music venue The Charlotte is to re-open for a special show.<\/h2>\n

A line-up of top local bands will be on the bill when The Charlotte re-opens for a special one-off gig on Saturday 28th December.<\/p>\n

The legendary Leicester venue will open its doors at 2 pm and run through to 2 am for this special event.<\/p>\n

Some of the many acts that have already been booked will include Midnight Wire, Titan, Linear, The Paradimes and The Harrowbrooks and also \u00a0included is \u00a0a variety of other well known \u00a0singers and groups.\u00a0The last act will take to the stage at 10 pm.<\/p>\n

The Charlotte<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Tickets are available on-line now and from Rockaboom Records in St. Martins and from Well Gosh.<\/p>\n

Whilst entry for individuals is 18+, a family ticket will admit an adult and accompanying 14+ children.<\/p>\n

After the special one-off show on the 28th, the venue will re-open as a pub from the end of January onwards.<\/p>\n

Because the venue has a beer garden, it is possible that the Charlotte will host some events over the summer, in 2014, \u00a0when the students are away.<\/p>\n

The building is now operating as student flats, following its conversion, after the ground floor bar closed as a live music venue in 2010.<\/p>\n

Bands that played at the Charlotte on 28th December:\u00a0The Paradimes,\u00a0Rabid,\u00a0Midnight Wire,\u00a0Soundtrack,\u00a0Titan,\u00a0Linear, \u00a0The Harrowbrooks,\u00a0Piezo and acoustic sets by Andrea Kenny (The Brandy Thieves), \u00a0Mike Kerslake,\u00a0Sarah Bird Trio (according to the events page on Facebook.)<\/p>\n
