Whether we like it or not, Artificial Intelligence has rapidly begun to play a major role in our lives and indeed influence many of our decisions.\u00a0 When we asked ChatGPT \u2018Who are the best live artists to see from Leicester?\u2019, the answer received was The Brandy Thieves<\/a>.<\/strong> Here\u2019s what it had to say:<\/p>\n

So, if we are to take AI\u2019s word for, the ragtag bunch of musicians hailing from England, Ireland, the USA and Poland are a band that must been seen. Yet, this is not as easy as one may expect. The Thieves have been on semi-hiatus for the last number of years with band members living all of the world and pursuing other musical projects, they now only play a few carefully selected shows each year. Luckily, for local Leicester music lovers, this coming May, there is an opportunity to see the band not once, but twice. The Brandy thieves were hand selected to perform at the awarding winning Bearded Theory Festival<\/strong><\/a> at Catton Park, Derbyshire.\u00a0 The festival will see the local act share the stage with the Godfather of Punk, Iggy Pop<\/strong>, Welsh indie stalwarts The Manic Street Preachers<\/strong> and electronic pioneers Leftfield<\/strong> and many more popular artists.<\/p>\n

However, for those prefer to see the band make their beautiful racket in a much more intimate setting, the Brandy Thieves will also be performing a special festival warm-up show in the limited capacity Duffy\u2019s Bar<\/strong><\/a>. With only 100 tickets available, fans will have the chance to get up close and sweaty with arguably Leicester\u2019s best live band. The event, which will undoubtedly be a sell out, will also feature Leicester favourite Michael Vickers & The Bad Thing<\/a>,<\/strong> hailed by BBC Introducing as a sensational live act and a must-see for music lovers.\u00a0 Also performing on the night, and probably worth the ticket price alone, are Celtic tinged Americana collective, The Table Troubadours<\/strong><\/a> who combine intricate guitars with soulful harmonies to take their listeners on a journey around their table and through their lives.<\/p>\n

The Brandy Thieves Festival warmer takes place Friday 16th<\/sup> May at 8pm in Duffy\u2019s Bar<\/strong>. Advance tickets are available through Billetto. Bearded Theory takes places Thurs 22nd<\/sup> May to Sun 25th<\/sup> May and tickets are available from the festival website.<\/p>\n
