The series of shows that presents a showcase for singers and acoustic acts starts on Thursday 2ns January 2014 at The Musician pub in Leicester.<\/p>\n

The obsUnplugged is a series of nights to make selections for this years local festival stages.<\/p>\n

80+ Acoustic\/Electro Acoustic Acts will play over 2 weeks will
\nbe selected to play over 2 weeks showcasing some of the best local and national acoustic talent<\/p>\n

The Original Bands Showcase began in 2004 and has become an established credible annual event on the Leicester Music Scene. This year we once again featured OBS bands at the outstanding Strawberry Fields and Riverside Festivals and Western Park Festival<\/p>\n

The January listings (with February to follow this week) are now on the website and we have some great gigs lined up for your New Year.<\/p>\n

Highlights include: Strung Out Sisters, Peter Bruntnell, Danny George Wilson & Neil Halstead, The Delegators (ska, reggae, soul band), Maggie Boyle Benefit Night (a great line up of folk acts), The Strange Doors, Neil McSweeney and The DTs (this is selling fast so don’t miss out).<\/p>\n

Throughout January the Musician is proud to host the fourth season of the OBS Unplugged. Now, firmly established as a significant platform for acoustic acts. A selection of 80+ of the finest local acoustic talent will be showcased throughout January to determine who will play the 2014 finale nights in February. See listings for full details<\/p>\n

Having been to most of all of the previous shows, we can say that this offers an unparallel opportunity to see some of the best singers and acoustics acts in our local area and gives a cross section of the talent available in our local area for this style of music.<\/p>\n
