Preview – Half drunk Club at Duffy’s Bar, Sunday 31st August 2025

Half Drunk Club have another banger of a gig coming up in Leicester on Sunday, 31st August. We have a band called Keep Flying over from New York—they’re on their UK tour supporting their brand new album Time and Tide (which you can hear here).

This show is for fans of punk, pop punk, ska punk and everything in between. Keep Flying’s set boasts a high-energy, sing-along, all-inclusive vibe that’ll leave a smile on your face.

Alongside them, we have Leeds-based synth-skate-punk-rock band Eat Defeat, Nottingham’s super-villain, zombie fighting ska punk lovelies Fighting Evil is Cool!, Nuneaton’s melodic punk-rockers Shackleford, and opening up the gig, is False Summits, who’re based in Manchester who describe themselves as sometimes pop punk, sometimes riot grrrl, sometimes hardcore, always annoyed.

Tickets are just £10 + booking fee, which is just over £2 a band and an absolute STEAL for a line up this good.

Lastly, it’s a matinee show, meaning that we start early, and finish early (3pm to 9pm, to be exact).

Since Half Drunk Club’s inception, we’ve booked bands such as The Skints, Big D and the Kids Table, The Planet Smashers, Catbite, [Spunge], The JB Conspiracy to name a few—within our genre, that is an incredible effort in just over 4 years. That doesn’t even include the amazing UK based ska punk bands we’ve put on, which we estimate, is approximately 50-odd.
