LEICESTER ARTIST TO PERFORM AT BONFIRE NIGHT SHOW

LEICESTER artist Jonezy is to provide one of the support slots for UK hot new band THE VAMPS at the Abbey Park Firework Night on Saturday 2nd November.

The local rap artist is on a line-up of local acts set to play at the Abbey Park Fireworks; last year it was Luke Bingham. Also on stage will be Leicester singer Curtis Clacey.

Last year’s bonfire and firework show at Abbey Park attracted over 15,000 spectators and, with The Vamps headlining, this year’s attendance is set to be very big indeed.

Jonezy said “I can’t wait to do this. After a summer of big festivals, this is the biggest thing I have ever done.”

The hip-hop artist, who lives in Loughborough, will be making his début at Leicester’s O2 Academy on Friday 8th November when he will be on stage with Melton Mowbray pop rockers STRIKE UP THE COLOURS.

BAND TO RELEASE NEW SINGLE

Demons of Ruby Mae are about to release a new single on 11th November.

Demons of Ruby Mae are set to release their new single ‘Beneath The Surface’ on November 11th through SiZe Records UK and will go hand in hand with two unique shows at Leicester Y-Theatre and Manchester Academy. The single will be an insight into the future of the band and will be a pilot for the follow-up EP – set for release in early 2014.

Demons of Ruby Mae’s members are Jonny Gavin and Adam Rowley. A collaborative duo from both Leicester and Manchester paired together through musical influences and the desire to have their input into the shaping of modern music.

Since forming in 2012, they have understood the importance of creating a unique sound and product. Not interested in playing shows for the first 12-months of existence, the pair went into hiding and created what they believe to be a style which will capture those who have the pleasure to listen.

Jonny Gavin said: “Demons of Ruby Mae is a product of emotion, musical satisfaction and visual clarity.”

Heliacal’ was the first EP released by the pair in March 2013 and received critical acclaim from BBC Introducing and Whispering Bob Harris.

After a performance on Dean Jackson’s BBC Introducing show, the buzz around the pair started to hit fever pitch with nearly 100,000 views of the performance on YouTube alone.
