Permanent Live Music venues
These venues have a fixed sound system with a stage, fixed lighting, sound control desk and a sound engineer present throughout the gig. They exist mainly for performances of live music, although some might also present other types of shows from time to time.

Theaters
The DeMontfort Hall and Curve are the two main theaters in Leicester and do of course include live music in their programme of shows.
The Y in East Street also puts on music shows from time to time
Other venues for live music
These venues also put on live music from time to time. Most do not have a fixed sound system.
Basement Bar in Wellington Street
The Black Horse Braunstone Gate has a sound system and weekly music events (esp Friday and Saturday)

Upper Brown Street (the old Phoenix Arts Centre)
