Cosmopolitan Festival, 18th August 2018

Not so much a carnival, more a festival. Now in its fifth year, this event has become established on Leicester’s annual cycle of public events. Cosmo celebrates Leicester as one of the most culturally diverse cities in the country. It covers all forms of art but our interest was the music. Three stages were on offer – the main stage at Jubilee Square, The acoustic stage at the Clock Tower and the youth stage at Humberstone Gate.

with Our City Fires and The Hero Dies First

The self-proclaimed “greatest metalcore band on Earth” played an awesome set at The Soundhouse alongside a duo of quality support acts.

First to the stage were local alt rock group Our City Fires, from Leicester. While they sounded notably different & less heavy than the rest of the bands they still put on a good show with rhythmic guitar work and catchy vocal melodies.

From Los Angeles to Leicester, Robson, debut at The Y Theatre

Robson is a new music project, the brainchild of keyboardist & producer Asa Brown who has been a part of the London music scene for years, touring & working with bands. He is a stalwart of the ‘This Feeling’ movement.

Asa & band member Greg Gent have been recording Robson’s debut album in L.A., London & hometown Leicester for the past 12 months.
