Harry Pentony talks to Trevor Locke.
Harry Pentony is someone I have known for a very long time. I thought he would be good to interview for my podcast series, because he is a musician, his band is doing gigs and he has a substantial track record of performances and recordings.

First, some history. As he said in the interview, Harry has been gigging from the age of eleven, starting at The Shed.
He has been in Vengeance, Eden Avenue, Reckless Youth, Our City Fires and then his current band is simply called Harry Pentony. You can find reviews of all these bands on the Music in Leicester website using the search box.
I asked Harry to talk to me about Leicester – what it has been like in the past, how he feels about it now and what he thinks might happen in the future, where live music is concerned.
Bear in mind that Harry is a Leicester lad, born and bred. If anyone should know about music in this city, then it is him.
That’s what makes this Podcast interview so interesting. Interesting in what he says about why it is such a good place for finding musical talent.
Interesting in what he has to say about the venues in which he has played and interested in what he has to say about the business of running a band and playing at gigs …
… and much more besides.
Listen to the recording; I am sure you will find a lot in it to think about.
